I’ve tried many exfoliating products of different types and price points. Some were manual (like scrubbing your skin with coarse ingredients to remove dead skin cells) and chemical treatments (liquid that helps your skin shed build up, dead skin, etc.). I’ve bought drug store products and pricey high-end treatments.

The manual exfoliants typically took off dead skin but left my skin red and raw. Even with a gentle rubbing using my fingers or even mixing it with face oil, my skin would be extremely irritated almost immediately. The next day, I’d have red patches in places, but my skin still did not look smooth or free from dead skin and unwanted gunk.

The chemical exfoliation products seemed to do a better job at not making my sensitive skin too irritated, red, or raw. However, I didn’t find - regardless of price point - that my skin had much improvement, even after consistent use. If I used the chemical product very often, my skin would get very dry and would develop red patches.

This product is an absolute game changer. Within seconds, I could see dead skin cells and any nasty gunk in my pores develop into clumps that I could wipe off with a soft makeup disposable towel or a wash cloth.

After massaging my face with the product and a small amount of water, my skin was smooth and soft with no redness or irritation. It also looked hydrated.

What is also amazing is that any darkness in the pores on the top and sides of my nose completely disappeared. I’d always thought these were a fact of life because unlike traditional blackheads, there didn’t seem to be any way to get that gunk out. In addition to the aforementioned manual and chemical exfoliants, I had use the pore strips that advertised they could remove the undesirable filaments. For the first time that I can remember, my nose was crystal clear. Sure, I still have pores in those places, but they are barely noticeable.

To ensure that the process wasn’t just balls of the product pilling and clumping together, I added more after my first treatment was finished. This time, there wasn’t anything present except for the product. This convinced me that what I’d seen before were actual dead skin, gunk, and leftover, deeply embedded skincare & makeup products. The shedding is absolutely the real deal.

The price is point can’t be beat either.

I can’t imagine that I’ll ever stop using this product. The search is over. My skin is smooth, clear, and glowing. Can’t recommend this product enough.

I bought this with the white rice bottle. This is definitely the stronger one of the two and it got into my blackheads around my nose really well. The skin I used this on and tested it with are really smooth when I am done. Definitely recommend this is you need something to get out anything deep in your pores.

I have also seen a lot of people (especially on TikTok) that have said it is just product piling up. It’s not I tested with both bottles. I used it in one spot, wiped it off, put it back and used it again and it would not pile up the second to third time because it already removed everything the first time. Many brands have chemical exfoliates like these and I don’t think too many people know about they type of exfoliators compared to more common ones.

This might be one of the first reviews I’ve ever made - and let me tell you, I’ve been buying A LOT of stuff on Reovio for a LONG time. But this Peel Shot has me in disbelief! I have tried many different skin care products and not a single one has had such a dramatic effect on my face in a single use as this product. I’m 36 and I’m not exaggerating when I say this product took years off my face with just one use. And it didn’t take a lot of product. In recent years I’ve taken better care of my skin, but when I was younger I definitely tanned a lot and didn’t use sunscreen. At 36, I have more sunspots and wrinkles than I would like. But this peel shot hit the freakin rewind button. After use, I rinsed it off and then applied my usual Biossance moisturizer. My moisturizer felt completely different upon application after using peel shot! Not in a bad way - in a really positive way! Like my skin was actually absorbing my moisturizer fully for the first time. And my skin feels and looks firmer. I showed my husband my skin afterwards and even he could genuinely tell a difference (he was notably impressed, instead of a fake “oh yeah babe that looks good” without even looking lol). I kid you not, I ordered 2 more bottles of this within 10 minutes of my first use!! 🤣 I wish I would have taken a before and after picture (though, I probably wouldn’t post it anyway cause I don’t like the idea of my face being publicly posted on internet….) For those of you who care about ingredients - I painstakingly looked up each of the ingredients on the EWG’s Skin Deep Database before pulling the trigger on my first purchase of this. While some of the ingredients have limited data, most ingredients were in the 1-2 range. I think only one ingredient was in the 3-5 range. So seems like a pretty nontoxic product, though I am not expert. Maybe double check for yourself if that matters to you. All in all, I’m super stoked to have this new secret weapon in my self-care and beauty arsenal. Maybe I should selfishly gate keep this so that it won’t get super popular and sell out? Lol jk

Holy crap on a cracker! I don’t normally believe the things I see on TikTok, but this one had me intrigued. I figure if it can make me look one day less than the old lady I am, it’s worth a shot. While there is strong evidence that some of the magic I experienced is a generic coagulation that happens the minute the product is rubbed on your face, I also believe that this is doing wonderful things for my skin! The exfoliation game is 👌🏽. My skin is so soft and smooth after rubbing all of the little crumbs off my face. I will admit it’s a bit awkward to see and feel your face covered in little dark boogers, but if you can get through that unsexy sensory experience, you will be rewarded with glowing skin.

I got this to try because of TikTok and I've been really surprised by it! Typically I don't go for these kinds of exfoliators (they've been around for a while and they work by reacting with the oil on your skin to ball up and collect dead skin. So, no, it isn't your dead skin rolling up like people say. It's the product, itself) but this one has actually reduced my oil production, pore size, and blackhead size/frequency. It's probably because of the AHA and BHA in the serum. I use this weekly along with a skin cycle of AHA/BHA (Good Molecules Overnight) and Retinol. The only downside is that it's really thick and the dropper isn't very good at getting the product out.
